Okay, the longer story:

After making the momentous decision to be a good enough rental customer of a plane based at Santa Monica Airport it was time to “take delivery” of the plane. The salesman (Robert Stewart) would meet Adam at the Long Beach Airport and fly up to SMO and collect me there. We have to fly to North Las Vegas where I will accept the plane in the name of the corporation that owns it, so that it is an out-of-state transaction (the tax stuff would make you dizzy, honest).
